🌸 Dear all blog followers, please go back and have another look at all my previous blogs - I have added lots of extra photos (mostly mine, so not as stylish as Penny's) and some information which I hope help to tell the story!
The ornate vaulted ceiling at the Cluny Musee national du Moyen Age.
Some final thoughts as we were making our way to the Odeon metro line 4 to get to Chatelet Les Halles metro station to change to Line B out to Charles de Gaulle airport.

Now that we've ticked most things off our Paris checklist, Penny and I agree that we probably won't be returning in a hurry, as much as we love it here, as there are so many
other places to see, including in Australia.
The main ones for me being the gardens of Versaille Chateau, Paris flea markets, the of course jardins et maison de Claude Monet, Monet's paintings at the Musee de l'Orangerie, the la Dame a la licorne tapestries and simply soaking up the Paris atmosphere!
Detail of the Lady and the Unicorn tapestrys' Millefioro background.
The etang des nymphaeas - Monet's inspiration
Marche de puces
Some edible treats and newly found treasures!
Lots of fond (and food!) memeories.
A lasting memory for me of Paris is, unfortunately of seeming to be always walking through wafts of cigarette smoke - it made me long for the fresh coastal air at Phillip Island!
Let alone the smoke, the streets are littered with cigarette butts.
A garbage truck I saw yesterday had a poster on its side saying

'350 tonnes de megots par an' (350 tonnes of cigarette butts each year) - disgraceful!
I found an interesting fact, that with 11.5 square metres of open space per person, Paris is less green than other major cities such as New York with 23.1 sq m/p and Curitiba which tops the list with 52 sq m/p, thanks to the visionary mayor and architect Jaime Learner who transformed this Brazilian city in the 1980s.
Au revoir Paris.....
..... next stop, the Czech Republic!
